Photography has been a big part of my life ever since I was about 8 years old. My mother loved taking photos of nature and she would get me and my siblings one of those wind-up cameras to take our own photos.
One of the first photos that I fell in love with was a picture I took whilst on holiday in Malta. We went to Gozo for the day and I took a picture of the Azure Window whilst a wave crashed up the sides. It was beautiful to see and even better that I got to capture the moment.
It has been quite a few years since then and I still look through my old photos to remind myself of those little magical moments that seldom last in the mind.
Photos are not just pretty pictures, they provide us with memories and spark moments which are so important in our lives and for our mental health. Without photos, great things could be lost in history and forgotten.
By surrounding myself with photos I've taken over the years, I continue to inspire myself to create and live more, even on those wet and soggy days. I encourage you to get your camera or smartphone and go take some photos of things that really speak to you. It'll make a difference in your life.
Have a lovely day!
